The upcoming Paramount+ TV show, Yellowstone, is set to premiere later this year. The first trailer for the series has been released that promises a look at what happened before the eponymous park was established.
The “yellowstone 1883” is a trailer that reveals the first look at the Yellowstone prequel coming to Paramount+.
The Dutton family embarks on a trip west over the Great Plains into the final stronghold of untamed America in Y: 1883, directed by Academy Award winner Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone. It’s a somber recounting of Western expansion, as well as an in-depth look at one family escaping poverty in search of a better life in America’s promised land, Montana. The wagon train has started moving.
Sam Elliott, the quintessential cowboy, will portray Shea Brennan, a fierce cowboy with a tragic background. He’s in charge of leading the group from Texas to Montana, and he’s not taking any chances. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, two country music superstars, will play James and Margaret Dutton, the father and matriarch of the Dutton family, respectively. The cast also includes Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May, and LaMonica Garrett.

“It all begins with the writing,” Elliott said. “Taylor Sheridan is a wonderful writer.” “I believe the western genre has a strong appeal to both of us. The archetypal man-versus-man, man-versus-nature, and man-versus-self battles. Everything is there in 1883, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”
“Yellowstone is a massive hit show with tens of millions of fans,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of MTV Entertainment Group. “With 1883, we’re taking those fans back to the origin story, and in the process, turning the Yellowstone world into a global hit franchise to fuel the growth of Paramount+.” “We are ecstatic to have Sam, Tim, and Faith as the stars of Taylor Sheridan’s new series, which will be available exclusively on Paramount+ throughout the globe,” says the studio.
“This is a wonderful job,” Tim McGraw stated. “Taylor has figured out how to tell stories in such a manner that these epic dramas and family sagas are filled with so much depth and imagination. The Duttons are fantastic characters, and it’s a dream come true to be able to bring them to life. When you’re a child who grew up riding horses, you fantasize about jobs like this, and I’m beyond thrilled to be working with such a talented cast and team.”
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Faith Hill remarked. “The Duttons are a powerful family, and bringing a strong female character like Margaret Dutton to life is a dream come true. Taylor and his whole staff have humbled and honored me by allowing me to work with them.”
Sheridan is eager to learn more about his family’s past. “What an honor to be among the first Duttons to arrive in Montana. They were homesteading when we saw them. When we refer to the Wild West, we are referring to a region that is beyond the reach of the law. It’s the start of an empire before it became an empire.”
Taylor Sheridan has a lot on her plate as a writer. Mayor of Kingstown, a new Paramount+ series starring Jeremy Renner, Dianne Wiest, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Taylor Handley, Hugh Dillion (also show creator), Pha’rez Lass, Tobi Bamtefa, Kyle Chandler, Aidan Gillen, and Hamish Allan-Headley, will premiere on November 14 on Paramount+. The McLusky family, who are power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, tackled topics of systematic racism, corruption, and inequality in a town where imprisonment is the sole viable industry.
1883 will debut on Paramount+ on December 19th.
Yellowstone is one of the most famous national parks in the United States.
