The dry season is a time of transition for the forest. This year, it has been especially hard on the trees and animals in Timberborn. What are some tips for surviving this difficult time?

The timberborn dry season length is the time between when a rain event ends and the next rain event begins. This can range from 2 days to 6 months.

There are two seasons in Timberborn: rainy and dry. Players always start in the rainy season, and when all water resources and crops run out, they get a warning about the approaching dry season. If you’ve never experienced a drought in Timberborn before, this might be a very trying time for you.

This book will teach you how to endure the Timberborn dry season and droughts. It’s worth noting that each dry season cycle takes longer, and dry seasons persist longer on higher difficulties.

Surviving Droughts and Dry Seasons as a Timberborn

Step 1: Get your wood storage ready.

One of the most essential things you must do before the drought starts is to prepare wood. This is what you must do:

  1. A few Lumberjack Flags should be placed around tree areas.
  2. Paths should be connected to the flags.
  3. To begin the procedure, make a list of the trees you want to chop down.
  4. Next to each Lumberjack Flag, construct Log Piles.
  5. Several Gatherer Flags should be placed.
  6. Construct a wood-storage warehouse.
  7. Create new routes to connect all of these structures.

Step 2: Set Up Your Water Storage

The next resource is water, which will be in high demand throughout the dry season. Take the following steps:

  1. Construct a pair of Water Pumps at the nearest water source.
  2. Next to them, construct 5-10 water tanks.
  3. Paths will be used to connect these new buildings.

Step 3: Population Management

You must now ensure that your beavers have a fresh generation of employees by completing the following tasks:

  1. Build 4-5 beaver lodges for them to sleep and reproduce in.
  2. To make your beavers happy, build at least a couple campfires.
  3. Make the beavers work for extended periods of time.

Step 4: Construct a Dam

During both rainy and dry seasons, a dam will assist you in controlling and preserving the flow of water:

  1. From the Landscaping menu, choose Dam.
  2. Set it up close to your town, across the river flow.
  3. On the opposite side of the river, construct a new dam.
  4. Ascertain that your town is located on a remote stretch of river.

Step 5: Make Provisions for Food Storage

Finally, you may begin growing more food and storing it for the drought season:

  1. Select Farmhouse from the Food menu.
  2. Build a few Farmhouses close to the Lodges.
  3. Go to the Plants and Crops section of the menu.
  4. Carrots and potatoes should be chosen carefully.
  5. Place them near the Farmhouses.
  6. Create new routes to connect all of the buildings.

When the drought hits, the section of the river that has been dammed will not dry out. You’ll have enough water in the tanks, food in the farmhouses, and wood in the warehouses to last until the next rainy season arrives.
